Solar market is growing at a fast pace. The response of people is appreciable but the only problem is affordability of the solar devices. To fund the devices various organizations have developed innovative funding schemes to made available these products to the people easily.
Countries like India have launched a special loan program for the solar devices. UNEP in collaboration with few Indian government controlled banks started a project to increase the harnessing of solar energy. It was a big project that funded £7.6 million over the period of four years. It was launched in April 2003 in the region southern India. It helped solar installati0n in household and provided labour opportunities to solar installers in the country which. The Multilateral Development Banks like World Bank and Asian Development Bank are also helping India in similar campaigns.
